The word nifty is a combination of two words 'N'ational and 'F'ifty. It consists of the 50 stocks listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) representing 24 different sectors of the economy. Nifty index is basically a simple tool for helping investors understand which stock they should buy and which stock they should avoid. Lets suppose the nifty index is going upwards then you can earn lots of money if u invested it wisely.

Nifty consists of bank nifty and nifty futures. As far as 'nifty futures' is concerned, it means buying or selling for the future. Nifty futures are available in lots. One nifty future consist of 50 derivatives of nifty. Lets suppose nifty is at 5000 and you think it will touch 5500 in 10-15 days. Then you can buy some lots of futures at 5000. As a nifty trade goes upwards you can start making profit and vice versa. This profit and loss is calculated on daily closing price.

Now we talk about the second one which comes under nifty i.e bank nifty. Bank Nifty option is also an Index option whose value is based on Bank Nifty Index. Bank Nifty trading is allowed in bank nifty futures only. Its lot size is 25.The index have 12 stocks from the banking sector which trade on the National Stock Exchange. It is basically an index value for letting you know the fluctuations in the banking sector. It gives you an insight of whole banking market scenario. BANK NIFTY futures contracts have a maximum of 3-month trading cycle and the value of the futures contracts on BANK NIFTY may not be less than Rs. 2 lakhs at the time of introduction.

The companies that are listed in nifty index represent the leading companies in the country. Therefore Nifty is a profitable investment for all those who are looking forward to invest in index. And if you go with the present scenario, there are many Indian & Foreign investors who are coming forward to invest in the Nifty.

Negative sentiment keeps the pair under heavy pressure and despite short-term studies being at their extreme levels, the price action continues to increase the pace of descending. Break below 1.2622 to open 1.2586 Aug 2010 low next, with 1.2000/zone expected to come in short-term focus. Initial resistance lies at 1.2720, with more significant barriers at 1.2800/15 and 1.2868.

The pair accelerated losses after losing key supports at 1.6050 and 1.6000, with break below 55 day MA at 1.5959, looking for test of round figure support at 1.5900 and possible extension towards 1.5850, Fib 38.2% of larger 1.5233/1.6300 ascend. Loss of bullish momentum on daily studies sees risk of further weakness, with test of 200 day MA at 1.5828 and strong support and higher platform at 1.5800, seen on a break below 1.5900. Near-term studies are overextend, yet no firm signals of any corrective action. Previous supports at 1.6000/50 are now reverted to initial barriers.

USD/JPY
Clearance of strong resistance zone at 80.00, where 90 day MA and main bear trendline off 84.08, were limiting recent upside attempt, has so far extended gains to 80.43. Positive near-term sentiment keeps the upside in focus, with next target at 80.60, 02 may high / Fib 38.2% of 81.77/79.42 downleg. Break here is required to confirm base at 79.42 and allow for stronger recovery, with 80.90/81.00 to come in focus. Broken 90 day MA, now underpins the rally, along with 20/55 day EMA’s crossover at 80.00.

USD/CHF
Accelerates gains after clearance of strong barriers at 0.9330 and 0.9400, with yearly high at 0.9593, posted in mid January, now coming in focus. No significant obstacles seen on a way towards 0.9593, with positive but extremely overextended near-term studies, underpinning the advance and not showing any signs of fatigue for now. Initial support lies at 0.9400, ahead of 0.9360 zone, Fibonacci support / 20 day EMA. On the upside, figure resistance comes first at 0.9500, ahead of 0.9545, 15 Dec 2011 high and 0.9593, 13 Jan 2012 peak.

The euro continues to plunge

While the broad sentiments prevailing in the market continue to be bearish, commodities and shares were seen rising following a rebound in euro. Recovery in Euro from a four month low after a surprisingly strong German GDP data took the pressure off the market and slightly lifted the sentiments. German economy grew 0.5 per cent in the first quarter against the expectation of 0.1 per cent. Euro Zone GDP data indicated that the region avoided recession though the economy continued to remain fragile. However, the overall sentiments were feeble on deepening worries over euro zone crisis and political uncertainty in Greece. Shortly after the exhilaration wore off the euro began to plummet hitting new recent lows to trade at this time at 1.2724.

Market mood continue to remain skeptical as investors fretted about the possibility of a Greek exit from the Euro zone. Financial markets would be fervently watching out for political events in Europe for further cues. With Europe reeling under both financial and political strain, all eyes are on today’s meet between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and new French president Francois Hollande. US eco data was neutral, with retail sales coming in soft.

The Euro fell to quickly in Asian trading to validate the downtrend it also has pushed indicators and oscillators to their maximum reading, Current reading are miscued. We will have to re-evaluate numbers and movement later today. The price action on Monday was negative, and the fact that the 1.29 level finally gave way we showed support had been broken. The 1.29 was the last remnant of the support level in our view. The 1.26 level looks to be the next major support level, and although there will be bounces along the way, the headlines should continue to punish the Euro going forward. However, this pair will more than likely continue to be choppy. We would sell rallies on signs of failure, and a break below the Monday lows.
